Rule #48

Never accept less for a job than you believe your time and effort is worth … and get it in writing.

Design and marketing services are routinely undervalued (see Rule #3), and you’ll often struggle with clients to obtain market value for your services. Oh, they’re regale you with stories about ‘the neighbor’s kid down the street who will do it for $50’ or ‘my last guy only charged me $100,’ but what someone else charged isn’t your concern. Stick up for yourself and the value of the services you provide.
