Rule #47

Never be afraid to push the limits of good taste.

One of my personal favorites. This rule underscores the importance of creating marketing that stands out from the crowd and avoid ‘playing it safe.’ Conservative approaches to advertising and design only keep you clumped together with your competitors. As I am fond of saying, “find that delineation between safe and risk and place your big toe confidently over the line.”
