Rule #22

Don’t just know how to use one tool, know as many as possible.

A companion to Rules #10 and #21, this rule highlights the need for adaptability in today’s marketing landscape. With a vast array of tools available for analytics, strategy, project management, and design, success in this field depends on proficiency across multiple platforms—you never know what your client prefers.

You might be comfortable with ClickUp but need to navigate Monday.com for a project. A client may rely on CorelDRAW while you’re fluent in Adobe Illustrator. The key advantage? When you’re experienced across different platforms, switching between them becomes second nature. A shorter learning curve makes you more efficient, flexible, and ultimately, a more valuable asset to your clients.
